Privacy Policy

Data Protection

The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

We hereby expressly prohibit the use of contact data published within the scope of the imprint obligation by third parties for sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam e-mails.

Privacy policy

Uni Apart Asset Management GmbH, Schlüterstr. 3b, 85057 Ingolstadt (UAAM) has always been committed to handling personal data extremely carefully and conscientiously in its day-to-day business activities. The entry into force of the GDPR sets new standards with regard to the handling of sensitive personal data. In order to be able to fully meet the standards set in the future, our employees are specifically instructed and briefed on this topic by means of a standardised ‘Code of Conduct’.

As part of its property management and rental management activities, UAAM collects personal data both for the initiation of contracts and for the fulfilment of contracts, in particular for the processing of an ongoing tenancy. The collection and processing of personal data is a legal obligation in order to fulfil all the requirements of a valid tenancy agreement.

Rental contract initiation
As part of the tenant application process, personal data such as address, telephone number, email address, date of birth and training centre including location are requested using an online booking form.

The collection of data is of significant importance for a basis for decision-making with regard to a potential tenancy. If no tenancy agreement is concluded, all data collected up to that point will be deleted immediately.

Current tenancy
Further information, such as the SEPA direct debit mandate including bank details and the tenant's liability insurance, is also regularly required for the administration of a tenancy and is collected and stored for the purpose of administration and support.

Termination of the tenancy
After termination of the tenancy, all personal data of the tenant collected up to that point will be deleted within a reasonable period of time, insofar as there are no longer any mutual claims between the parties after the legally valid settlement of the deposit.

Due to the mandatory collection of data, no consent is required from the prospective tenant or the tenant. The data collected is used exclusively for further processing for a potential or actual tenancy. Furthermore, UAAM is obliged to pass on relevant data to third parties insofar as this is necessary for the fulfilment of contractual obligations. This includes, for example, information to authorities and public institutions or the forwarding of personal data to the provider of Internet access in the respective rental property, if applicable. There is no entitlement to premature deletion of the collected data during the current tenancy.

The data collected is stored exclusively on servers located in Germany. If other modern means of communication, such as WhatsApp, are used in the tenant/landlord relationship, we would like to point out that in this case the communication is handled via servers hosted in the USA. If the tenant does not wish to use this form of communication, a simple declaration to UAAM is sufficient.

Handling of data from owners and landlords
In order to fulfil our property management/rental management mandate, we collect personal data from owners and landlords, such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses and bank details. This data is collected, stored and processed for the purpose of the proper handling of administrative activities.

Data protection in the context of brokerage activities
As part of its estate agency activities, UAAM maintains various representative offices on Internet platforms such as Immowelt, ImmoScout24, studenten-WG, WG-gesucht and the like. If the interested party approaches UAAM via the contact or enquiry forms offered there with an interest in renting or buying, the personal data will be collected, stored and processed in the initiation phase for the purpose of preparing an offer and communicating with the interested party. If a contract is not concluded, the personal data will be deleted or destroyed immediately. If a contract is concluded, the necessary personal data will be stored and processed for the purpose of contract fulfilment. The data will expressly not be passed on to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Personal data will be passed on to third parties, e.g. authorities, notaries, registration offices, if this is required by law within the scope of contract fulfilment, etc.

Every person from whom data has been or will be collected in the course of UAAM's business activities has the right to information about the purpose of processing, the storage location and information about disclosure to third parties. In addition, there is a right to erasure of the data insofar as UAAM is no longer legally obliged to continue storing the data.

If there has been a breach of data protection guidelines, you as a prospective tenant, tenant, owner or landlord have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision. You can also contact the UAAM data protection officer, Mr Maximilian Cremer, using the following contact details (Tel.: 0841/4915717, Email: m.cremer@uniapart.de).

The competent supervisory authority for Bavarian public bodies is the State Commissioner for Data Protection, Prof Dr Thomas Petri. The contact details can be found at the following link: https://www.datenschutz-bayern.de/vorstell/impressum.html
